Migration
Moving off POP and IMAP mail, a hosting provider or Google Workspace, with mail, contacts and files landing where people expect them. Planned so the switch happens outside working hours.
Licensing that fits
The right plan per user rather than the same licence for everyone. We regularly find businesses paying for seats that left two years ago.
Secure baseline
Multi-factor authentication, conditional access, safe defaults and CIS-aligned settings, applied consistently and reported on every month.
SharePoint and OneDrive
A file structure that makes sense, with sharing permissions that are deliberate. This is also the groundwork for using Copilot safely.
Backup
Microsoft keeps the service running. Keeping your data recoverable after a deletion, a departure or a ransomware event is your responsibility, and we cover it.
Getting people comfortable
Teams, shared files and mobile access explained at a pace that suits non-technical staff, so the tools get used instead of avoided.
Copilot inherits whatever permissions already exist in your tenant. Tidying up SharePoint sharing first is the difference between a useful assistant and one that surfaces the salary folder. See our AI services.
Business Standard or Business Premium?
This is the question we get asked most, and the honest answer surprises people. The difference is not more apps. Both give your team the same email, the same Office applications, the same Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive. Your staff would not notice a thing. The difference is what happens around them: Standard gives your team the tools, Premium gives you control over who can reach those tools, from which devices, and what happens when someone gets it wrong.
Rules about who gets in
Conditional Access lets us block or challenge a sign-in from an unfamiliar country, an unmanaged laptop or a risky pattern. Standard cannot do this at all. Multi-factor authentication on its own stops the stolen password; Conditional Access stops the rest.
Managed company devices
Intune applies the same security settings to every company laptop, confirms encryption is actually switched on, and wipes a device that goes missing. On Standard, each machine is configured by hand and stays that way until somebody checks.
Safer links and attachments
Defender for Office 365 checks a link at the moment it is clicked, not just when the mail arrives, and opens attachments in a safe space first. Standard has basic filtering only.
Something watching the endpoint
Defender for Business spots suspicious behaviour on a machine and acts on it. Antivirus catches what it recognises. This catches what it does not.
Warning when an account looks wrong
Entra ID Identity Protection flags a sign-in that does not look like the person it claims to be, and can force a password reset before anything happens.
The sums changed on 1 July 2026
Microsoft raised the price of Business Standard by 12% on 1 July 2026. Business Premium did not change. Premium used to cost 76% more than Standard; it now costs 57% more, and the security it adds is unchanged. If your renewal is coming up, it is worth a look.
If your team is small, everyone works on the same machines in the same office, you hold nothing especially sensitive, and nobody would be seriously stuck for a day, Standard does the job. We will tell you so.
Premium earns its place when staff work from their own devices, when people join and leave often enough that manual configuration slips, when you hold client or financial data you would have to report on if it leaked, or when a day of downtime costs real money.
One more thing worth knowing: our support plans are built for Business Premium environments, because Conditional Access, Intune device policies and Defender are the things we actually manage. So the licence conversation and the support conversation are the same conversation, and we work out both in the audit before anyone signs anything. Curious what your current licence already includes?
